Know Them? Three Wanted For Ripping Off Woman's Wallet In Westbury, Police Say

Police are asking the public for help identifying three people who allegedly stole a wallet out of a woman's purse while shopping and then used it to purchase items.

The incident took place around 4:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 22, when the victim was shopping at the Fairway Market in Westbury, said the Nassau County Police.

According to detectives, the female victim, 60, attempted to pay for her merchandise and discovered her wallet was missing from her bag. 

Police responded and viewed the store’s surveillance, which captured three people, two women, and a man, working together to remove the victim’s wallet, police said.

A short time later the victim’s credit/debit card was used at multiple locations in Roosevelt Field Mall.
